Easter Eggs, Putt-Putt and Good Food

The Saturday before Easter was a fun filled adventurous day. Eric went to a weight meet in Russellville, Tyler was too tired to get up so he stayed home, late night reading caught up to him. By the end of the day he might have been wishing he had gone. We all packed up after lunch and headed to the Easter Egg hunt at Abbi's school that our church was putting on. When we got there, the line was going all the way down the sidewalk wrapping around her school, it looked like the whole city had shown up. We waited in anticipation for the egg hunt, over 10,000 eggs had been hidden on the playground, yippee! As the time grew closer to the hunt, the crowd of kids and parents turned more into a mob. I think there might of been rumors of money hidden in the eggs, I can't imagine the excitement being about the tootsie rolls and chocolate eggs that were really hidden inside. Parents were jockeying their kids for position on the starting line, giving detailed instructions on how to gather the most eggs and planning their route. Finally, the time was upon us and Abbi went about 1 foot from me, gathered up about 18 eggs and said I am done, lets go play putt-putt. I think the mob had frightened her a bit. Her exact words were those people were like monsters. You see, we almost hadn't made it to the egg hunt to begin with. Before leaving the house she made me promise they weren't going to count the eggs to see who won. She would have no part in any egg competition. Quite the opposite from Tyler who would compete with anyone over anything. The day was beautiful and warm though and our praise team reached about a thousand people with their music about the real reason for the holiday.

After the Easter egg fun we headed to play putt-putt. It was so much fun and so pretty outside. Max slept the entire time in his mommy sack. Don't panic, not the recalled sling, the carrier that looks like a back pack that goes on my tummy. Tyler gave Abbi a handicap of their age difference so they ended up in a tie. Thank the Lord!

Easter Sunday church was wonderful and then we went to Ruby Tuesdays for a delicious meal. Not close to being at Mammas, but at least we were all together. I am heading down this weekend though, can't wait another minute to be with all the fam. Ready or not, here we come! Get some extra sleep tonight Brandi and Chuck, you'll need your reserves.
We are so blessed.
Check out the pictures below, yes, Max is dressed like an Easter bunny!
